The Beaches of South Walton are a great place!

The Beaches of South Walton County Florida (SoWal) are a 17 mile stretch of beautiful snow white beaches. The very fine sand is called 'sugar sand' are tiny grains of white quartz that have washed down from the Appalachian Mountains. State Highway 30A starts and ends at Highway 98 and parallels the beaches throughout the area.

30A is the main artery of SoWal and the entire length is paralleled by a biking/walking path. You and your family can bike the entire length of it, experiencing each communities uniqueness very safely. The bike path goes by several public parks and forests as well as the beach

What we really like about SoWal is that development is controlled to protect the beauty and tranquility of the area. There are no 'Big Box' stores on 30A. There are only 2 'high rise' buildings and no more will be constructed. The development model down there is more of a town-center approach. Communities will have a small commercial area, with locally operated retail establishments, banks, restaurants, etc.. in a small 'downtown'. The first floor of the downtown will be commercial, but the second and third floors will be residential and housing developments will back up the commercial areas.

Our homes are located in the Eastern half of SoWal. Johnny's Hideaway is near Rosemary Beach. Caribbean Soul and Seagrove Seacret are both in Seagrove.
